About UrbaSEN
Fédération Sénégalaise des Habitants (FSH) is an association dedicated to addressing urban issues in Senegal. They work alongside UrbaSEN, a Senegalese organization established in 2007, which specializes in urban planning, mapping, and community engagement. FSH, a member of Slum Dwellers International, focuses on supporting vulnerable populations and improving their living conditions.
As a technical support structure, UrbaSEN plays a vital role in assisting FSH's efforts. Together, they have launched various projects including the reconstruction of houses damaged by floods, participatory planning for precarious neighborhoods, and combating the issue of flooding. UrbaSEN also collaborates with other organizations such as WeRobotics and the Directorate for Flood Zone Planning to establish the first aerial mapping center in the region, using lightweight drones.
