Uringa Orienteers

Uringa Orienteering Club is a volunteer-based sports club serving Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. For more than 50 years, it has encouraged and promoted orienteering, with members taking part in races and events across New South Wales. The club welcomes people of all ages, fitness levels and experience, from children and beginners to seasoned orienteers.

Uringa helps newcomers learn about the sport through introductory guidance, map-symbol information and practical resources on preparation, equipment, navigation, terrain running and training. Members can connect with local events, develop their skills and share knowledge with fellow participants. While competitors navigate courses individually, the club also values friendship and social gatherings, including post-event route discussions and dinners at major races.

The club provides information about upcoming events, membership and joining, and shares news and stories through its blog. It also directs participants to Eventor, Orienteering NSW and Orienteering Australia for broader event listings and resources.
