Încă din 2002, Save the Dogs funcționează în Cernavodă, unde adăpostește câteva sute de animale. De-a lungul timpului, proiectul s-a dezvoltat și și-a extins raza de acțiune, astfel că, în prezent, dispune de o clinică veterinară (unde se efectuează o serie de servicii în folosul comunității), adăposturie separate pentru câini, pisici, cai și măgari. Programele de adopții naționale, internaționale și de la distanță funcționează și ele extraordinar. Acestea sunt completate, printre altele, de proiecte de ajutor pentru copiii bolnavi de autism.
