Urth Yarns is an artisan brand that offers a beautiful collection of hand-dyed natural yarns. Our story begins in Mesopotamia, the birthplace of civilization, where our ancestors first cultivated wheat and livestock over 13,000 years ago. Inspired by this rich history and the abundant lands of Mesopotamia, we are dedicated to producing exquisite quality yarns that are rooted in sustainability and culture.
At Urth Yarns, we believe in the beauty of imperfection and the harmonious individuality found in nature. We utilize dyeing techniques that showcase the surprising colors and imperfect beauty of the ingredients our Earth offers us. Our Harvest line, for example, is hand-dyed using fruits, nuts, and roots, resulting in a timeless palette of earthy shades.
All our collections are meticulously crafted by talented women in our studios in Mersin and Istanbul. We value the human touch and authenticity that these artisans bring to our brand in a world of mass production. In addition, we partner with Trees for the Future to ensure our business contributes to keeping the planet clean and green.
