USC-Dortmund

USC-Dortmund e.V. is a sailing club that brings together people interested in sailing and offers opportunities to learn, practise and enjoy the sport. Its website shares information about club life, events, sailing trips and training, as well as details on membership, sailing areas and the club’s boats, including its club yacht.

The club provides sailing education for a range of ages and experience levels. Courses include theory and practical training for German inland and coastal boating licences, the Sport Coastal Skipper Licence (SKS), radio certificates and safety-signalling equipment. Younger sailors can take part in an introductory optics course for children aged 7–12 and try-out sailing for children and teenagers. Other options include refresher training in dinghies, accompanied sailing and sailing vouchers.

Members and learners can also join workshops, excursions, sailing trips and club events. Reports describe activities on local lakes and in Friesland, as well as coastal voyages and regattas.
