US Coins Guide is an educational resource for people interested in identifying, collecting, and understanding United States coins. The site helps readers explore coin values, rare varieties, mint errors, and pieces that may turn up in everyday pocket change. Its articles and videos cover topics such as recognizing key-date pennies, spotting counterfeit coins, distinguishing doubled-die errors from machine doubling, and learning about U.S. Mint souvenir sets. Practical how-to guides also explain how to store and protect a collection.
The site is led by Josh, its Senior Coin Editor, whose interest in coins began in childhood. He primarily studies and collects 20th-century U.S. coins and is a member of the American Numismatic Association and the Numismatic Literary Guild. His work has received multiple NLG awards, and he has contributed to a range of numismatic publications. Josh is also editor of FUN Topics magazine and author of a book about the Philadelphia Mint. Through its guides, videos, and coin-focused reporting, US Coins Guide offers hobbyists accessible information for learning about U.S. numismatics.
