About Uganda Solar Energy Association
Uganda Solar Energy Association (USEA) is an independent non-profit association dedicated to promoting the growth and development of solar energy businesses in Uganda and the East Africa region. Established in 2016 with support from private sector foundation, Ministry of Energy, and Rural Electrification Agency, USEA is registered under the Societies Act. USEA's vision is to be a vibrant institution that champions solar energy solutions that meet national, regional, and international standards.
Its mission is to strengthen Uganda's solar industry, facilitate business growth, and promote regulation. USEA aims to achieve its objectives by positioning solar energy as an important power source in Uganda's energy mix, promoting solar energy usage across various sectors, strengthening the local solar industry through research and networking, creating a self-regulating environment for high-quality solar energy solutions, serving as an information hub for solar energy development, and fostering capacity building opportunities for sector growth and member businesses.
