The Uxbridge-Scott Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of the Uxbridge area. Established in 1971 by a passionate group of citizens, the society plays a vital role in managing the Uxbridge Historical Centre, where visitors can explore a diverse collection of artifacts and historical documents. The organization raises funds through its annual Heritage Days event, which celebrates local history and culture.

Regular activities include workshops, public meetings featuring special guest speakers, and the publication of newsletters that keep the community informed. The society also focuses on enhancing the historical centre, engaging in projects such as building maintenance, landscaping, and creating accessible pathways. Through successful grant applications, they continue to expand their resources, making the centre a welcoming space for learning and exploration. With ongoing community involvement and a commitment to historical preservation, the Uxbridge-Scott Historical Society serves as a cornerstone for heritage conservation in the region.
