Usikimye is an organization dedicated to ending gender-based violence (GBV) and ensuring the safety of women and girls in Kenya and its surrounding areas. The name 'Usikimye' means do not be silent in Swahili, emphasizing the organization's mission to speak out against violence. Through various programs, Usikimye aims to provide comprehensive and survivor-centered support to victims of GBV.

They have rescued thousands of women, girls, and children from sexual and domestic violence, offering them safe spaces in their three shelters. Usikimye also focuses on empowering survivors by providing skill transfer programs, entrepreneurship boot camps, and job placements to help them reintegrate into society. To prevent teenage pregnancies and curb domestic abuse, Usikimye has launched the Inua Mama program, which supports teen moms and mothers of teens, offering entrepreneurship training, financial guidance, and opportunities to save, lend, and start businesses.

In addition to their programs, Usikimye also runs a feeding program and a Binti SRHR program, providing girls with essential resources like sanitary pads and educating them and their parents about sexual reproductive health and rights. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Usikimye has adapted by offering remote psycho-social support and therapy sessions for survivors of GBV. By raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for change, Usikimye is working towards ending gender-based violence and creating a safer and more equal society for all
