Just a Man

Uniting, Serving, Mentoring and Counseling Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry helping men become better husbands, fathers, and citizens through discipleship, brotherhood, and accountability. Founded in Fredericksburg, Virginia, by Marine Corps veteran and lay minister Adam “MOOP” Johns, the organization encourages men to lead their families and communities with discipline and service grounded in Scripture.

Its four pillars are uniting men across church backgrounds, serving families and communities, mentoring across generations, and providing biblical counseling for men facing challenges such as marriage struggles, grief, addiction recovery, and spiritual warfare. The ministry also offers free Bible study resources, including the MOOP Dictionary, a Greek and Hebrew lexicon, cross-references, and biblical baby names. Its REAL MAN devotional guides readers through Proverbs with daily reflection and practical character themes.

The Watchman’s Bible Reading Plan provides five daily readings tailored to family life, personal struggles, and calling. Men can also connect through online brotherhood communities, receive ministry updates, and access coaching, fitness, finance, books, and other commercial offerings through the organization’s affiliated site.
