USPPA

USPPA, or the United States Powered Paragliding Association, is a reputable brand that has been serving the paramotor community since 2001. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, their mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance the sport of powered paragliding. For those who are interested in joining the USPPA, they offer numerous benefits to their members.

These include access to their exclusive paramotor pilot magazine, which is created by paramotor pilots for paramotor pilots. Members also have the opportunity to obtain ratings under FAR 103, which can help assess their skills and knowledge as pilots. Additionally, the USPPA has an FAA tandem exemption that allows pilots with a tandem rating to operate tandem flights in U.

S. They also offer continuing education programs, an online membership directory, and access to a library of online resources. For those looking to fly a two-place powered paraglider, the USPPA provides a legal way to do tandem flights through their ratings program.
