UTHealth Houston

UTHealth Houston Emergency Communications is the university’s central resource for emergency alerts and operational updates. It helps students, employees, patients, and visitors find information during severe weather, security incidents, and other disruptions. The site reports whether the university is open, under controlled access, or operating on a delayed schedule, and explains how changes affect classes, clinics, and campus services.

The service shares updates through its emergency website, university email, intranet, UTHealth Houston ALERT text messages, mobile app, and social media channels. It also provides guidance on signing up for alerts and checking university status when other communication systems are unavailable. Visitors and guests can use the website for public information, while employees and students can consult internal channels and supervisors for role-specific instructions.

The resource includes emergency management and continuity plans for the university, UT Physicians, and the Behavioral Sciences Campus, along with emergency numbers and guidance for essential employees.
