About Utsahi
Utsahi Nepal (Formerly Cheers Nepal) is a youth-led non-governmental organization (NGO) that is committed to addressing various social issues across Nepal. Since its inception as a youth group called "Cheers Network" in 2013, the organization has aimed to bring positive change through small initiatives and networking with young people. Over time, it has grown in size and impact, collaborating with other groups and organizations to empower youth and promote civic awareness.
Utsahi Nepal focuses on several key areas, including youth and gender equality, good governance, civic engagement, and capacity-building. The organization has extensive experience and expertise in these areas, having delivered numerous projects related to education, climate change, healthcare, and humanitarian assistance. Its teams are well-versed in cross-cutting issues such as gender and social inclusion, environmental conservation, and policy influencing.
As a value-based organization, Utsahi Nepal upholds principles such as humanity, neutrality, impartiality, independence, accountability, and coordination. It works in partnership with notable organizations like UNDP, UN-HABITAT, and the Asia Foundation, as well as government agencies and private institutions in Nepal.
