The Tasmanian Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (TWRC) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the protection and rehabilitation of Tasmania’s unique wildlife. With a mission centered on collaborative care and education, TWRC rescues injured and ill animals directly from their natural habitats, providing essential healthcare and affectionate support until they are ready for release.

TWRC works closely with experienced animal keepers, volunteers, and wildlife specialists, ensuring that every creature receives the attention it deserves. Through workshops and community engagement events, TWRC raises awareness about wildlife care, educating the public on how to respond when they encounter injured animals. Additionally, the organization advocates for animal welfare policies with government entities, shaping regulations to guarantee humane treatment for all species.

Funded by donations and grants, TWRC strives to create a supportive network for wildlife caretakers, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and training. Committed to the vision of a thriving natural ecosystem, TWRC works tirelessly to return as many native animals as possible back to their rightful homes.
