U-Turn for Christ NJ is a men’s residential Christian discipleship program in central New Jersey, operating since 2003. The organization’s mission is to help men find freedom from drug and alcohol addiction through faith in Jesus Christ and a life grounded in the Bible. Its program combines pastoral oversight, scripture study, personal devotion, practical work, and structured community living.
The first phase requires a minimum two-month commitment in a residential home designed to provide a safe, focused environment. Residents follow house rules, participate in daily Bible study and work assignments, and undergo random drug testing. Telephone, television, and computer access are restricted during this phase; family visits begin after an initial waiting period and take place on Sundays following church.
After completing the initial commitment, residents may continue for a further six months. In this second phase, they are expected to work and contribute a small monthly rent toward room and board. They receive greater freedom while continuing to participate in Bible studies and follow the home’s rules.
