As this year comes to a close, we acknowledge the survivors, communities, and partners who stayed engaged and present throughout the work. We pursued accountability, kept justice in public view, and centred survivor voices in litigation, advocacy, and research. This work moved through persistence rather than moments. Pressure was sustained and silence was more often than not challenged. About UtuWetu

Utu Wetu Trust is a Kenyan organization dedicated to holding individuals accountable for sexual violence and ensuring access to sexual and reproductive health and rights. Led by a team of experienced human rights lawyers, including co-founders Christine Alai and Lydia Muthiani, Utu Wetu Trust engages in strategic impact litigation, research, and movement building to advance equality and non-discrimination. They work on a national and international scale, with projects focusing on community mobilization in Kibra and Mathare, survivor engagement in Kisumu, and collaboration with the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies.
