Perfect is a pioneering research capacity-building program developed by the University of Zimbabwe's College of Health Sciences (UZCHS), supported by the Fogarty International Center of the US National Institutes of Health. Launched as a continuation of the successful MEPI awards, PERFECT aims to empower junior faculty members in their research careers by training 30 emerging scholars over five years. The program encompasses a 24-month training and mentorship initiative, focusing on critical global health topics such as HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular diseases, women's health, and mental health.

Participants benefit from a comprehensive curriculum that includes core research skills, mentorship, and practical research training, ensuring they become competent, independent researchers capable of impactful contributions.
