V-A-C Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by businessman Leonid Mikhelson in 2009. The foundation works with Russian artists and focuses on developing contemporary culture through exhibitions, educational programs, publishing, and performance activities. V-A-C Foundation's projects take place in their own spaces, such as the GES-2 Cultural Center in Moscow and the Zattere Palace in Venice, as well as in collaboration with various organizations worldwide.

The main goal of the foundation is to redefine the art production and knowledge production system. Alongside artists, V-A-C expands the cultural landscape by challenging disciplinary boundaries, questioning the hierarchy of expert and non-expert opinions, and developing a new language for contemporary cultural processes. They explore the nature of museums, exhibitions, and performative practices, implementing artistic projects in non-art spaces like historical, scientific, and memorial museums, as well as urban public spaces.

The result of this research is the creation of the GES-2 Cultural Center, an institution capable of shaping a polyphonic art landscape. GES-2, opened on December 4, 2021, in Moscow, is a V-A-C platform that promotes innovative art production through dialogues between exhibitions, music, theater, dance events, film screenings, and educational activities. The Zattere Palace in Venice became a permanent space for V-A-C in 2017, aiming to build and make visible the meaningful connections between contemporary artistic practices in Russia, the historical context of Russian culture, and international contemporary art
