Vabamu is Estonia's largest nonprofit private museum with a mission to educate, engage, and inspire Estonian people and visitors to reflect on the recent past, recognize the fragility of freedom, and stand for freedom and justice. Vabamu operates in three main directions: Vabamu Museums, Youth Vabamu (NoVa), and Global Conversations.

Vabamu Museums consist of two museums: the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Vabamu, and the KGB Prison Cells. Both museums offer a unique opportunity to explore Estonian recent history through personal stories.

Youth Vabamu (NoVa) is a platform for educational activities targeting young people. It includes museum lessons, excursions, discussions, and film nights. Additionally, NoVa provides a self-learning environment for young individuals.

Under the Global Conversations program, Vabamu focuses on fostering international relations and networks to contribute to the preservation of freedom and collaborative relationships in our country.

Visitors can experience various exhibitions and attend events at Vabamu Museums. The upcoming exhibition "From Behind the Stove!" showcases the history of Estonian women's movements over the past 150 years. The museums also feature permanent exhibitions such as "Freedom Knows No Borders" and "The Story of the KGB (M)House."
