Vachment Cuir

Vach’ment Cuir is the handmade leatherworking and creative sewing business of artisan Viviane Prouteau, based in Aubigny-les-Clouzeaux, Vendée. With 40 years of experience in sewing and creative work, and training in Cholet, Viviane brings her technical skills to custom commissions shaped around each customer’s ideas. She works alone and by order, creating unique pieces with quality French leather, including made-to-measure bags and other leather goods.

Alongside leatherwork, Vach’ment Cuir offers sewing lessons for people who want to learn, make or create clothing in fabric. Lessons are available at the workshop or at the customer’s home. The business also provides clothing and leather-accessory alterations, with requests discussed individually to determine what can be done.

For paper crafts, Viviane makes original scrapbooking items such as boxes, calendars, cards and pouches. Customers can contact her to discuss a project or place an order, and can arrange to meet at her Aubigny workshop.
