Vaimeus

Vaimeus Oy develops and produces sound suppressors for people who live, work or pursue hobbies in noisy environments. Working actively with partners, the Finnish company creates practical solutions for both professionals and enthusiasts, with a focus on simplicity, suitability for purpose and ease of use. Its products are designed for common shotguns and rifles, and Vaimeus says all its suppressors can be maintained by the user.

The company aims to help reduce noise around shooting activities, including at shooting ranges, while supporting hearing protection, safety and more considerate relationships with surrounding communities. Its work also responds to the needs of hunters and sport shooters seeking to lessen the environmental impact of firearm noise.

Vaimeus traces its development to a 2016 challenge at a local shooting range, where rifle suppressors became necessary to address noise concerns. Seeking an alternative to conventional installation that requires modifying a rifle barrel, the team developed and tested a suppressor that attaches without barrel modification.
