Stichting Vakantiespelen Alkemade is a community foundation that has organized holiday activities for children since 1969. Serving children aged 4 to 14 in the municipality of Kaag en Braassem, it creates opportunities for them to play, explore and enjoy time together during school holidays and throughout the year. Its programme includes hut building and open-house events, an evening four-day walking event, cycling trips, spooky Halloween walks, Easter egg hunts, sports activities and seasonal Play Days featuring games such as LEGO.
Activities take place in local villages and venues, with details and ticket information available through the foundation. Vakantiespelen Alkemade also welcomes suggestions for new activities and invites people to volunteer or support its work as sponsors. Local businesses help make the programme possible.
The foundation emphasizes safety, respectful conduct and clear rules for participants, and provides first aid at activities. It also works with the municipality on the Social Agenda, supporting children’s growth, development and physical activity
