Vakifbegravelse

Vakifbegravelse is a Danish company founded in 2020 that provides religious services and practical support for Muslim funerals. Working with a network of more than 30 mosques and partners across Denmark, the company aims to ensure that final rites are conducted in accordance with Islamic requirements while easing the administrative burden on grieving families.

Its services include preparing and registering documents, handling notifications and arrangements related to transport, supplying burial shrouds and washing materials, and washing the deceased according to Islamic practices. Vakifbegravelse also helps determine an appropriate burial time and arranges transport to a cemetery in Turkey or to an airport near the burial location in another country. The company states that international transportation follows relevant standards and is an area of specialization.

In Denmark, it assists with burial at Muslim-designated cemetery areas, including locations in Zealand, Funen and Jutland. For families with relatives buried in Turkey, Vakifbegravelse also offers cemetery maintenance.
