Valerie Rae Photography is a photography brand founded by Valerie “Val” Rae, specializing in adventurous, personalized elopement and couples photography. The business focuses on capturing genuine emotion and the character of each relationship, creating a relaxed experience where couples can celebrate in ways that feel true to them. Its work has centered on elopements in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Boulder, Denver’s surrounding wilderness, and other locations across the state, with engagement sessions and couples portraits also offered.
Beyond taking photographs, Valerie has described helping couples shape thoughtful, custom elopement experiences and plan days around their favorite activities, with an emphasis on meaningful time together, fun, and authentic memories. The website also features Colorado elopement packages, an elopement guide and FAQs, galleries, and a blog. Valerie shares that she and her husband have relocated to the Chicago area and that she is fully booked through her due date, followed by maternity leave
