Valiant Vineyards Winery & Distillery is a family-run winery, distillery, and hospitality destination in Vermillion, South Dakota. Since 1996, the Nygaard family has welcomed visitors to enjoy wine, craft spirits, events, and overnight stays near the Missouri River. Founder Eldon Nygaard made South Dakota’s first commercial wine after helping draft the legislation that enabled its production. Today, the family continues that pioneering tradition, with sixth-generation American winemaker Leif Nygaard leading Stone Faces Distillery.

The winery produces award-winning wines, including bold reds and crisp whites, while the distillery makes small-batch vodka, whiskey, bourbon, and other spirits using local ingredients. Guests can visit the tasting room to sample wines and spirits; reservations are not required for tastings. The property also offers bed-and-breakfast accommodations, private events, banquets, and wedding services.
