Valiente Bangla

Valiente Bangla is a Madrid-based association founded in 2007 to support disadvantaged people and communities, guided by the principles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Its mission is to advise foreign nationals on regularizing their residency status and to encourage their integration into Spanish society. The association also works to improve coexistence and well-being among groups at risk of exclusion in the Community of Madrid.

Its activities include Yhaal Muri 2, a project promoting integration, community development, and empowerment for Bangladeshi women. Valiente Bangla also coordinates a network of interpreters who help patients with limited Spanish communicate with healthcare professionals in hospitals, health centers, and social services, both in person and by telephone. Through sewing and Bengali crafts workshops, migrant women can learn practical skills while sharing experiences and building social connections. The association collaborates with local social services, neighborhood groups, and other organizations in Lavapiés. It also provides emergency assistance, including help with rent, medical situations, deaths, and repatriation.
