Valleumbratrekking

Valle Umbra Trekking is an association dedicated to hiking, environmental awareness, and the appreciation of local territory, history, and traditions. Based in Pale, near Foligno in Umbria, it invites people to explore nature together and offers activities for members with a range of interests and experience levels.

The association plans an annual programme of hikes, usually on Sundays, as well as outings lasting several days in Italy and abroad. Federazione Italiana Escursionismo-trained hiking leaders accompany participants and provide guidance; membership for the current year is required to join these excursions. Valle Umbra Trekking also works with public bodies to identify, mark, and map local trails, including the Umbrian route of the E1.

Its programme extends beyond hiking through member activities and courses on mushrooms, wild plants, yoga, wine, orienteering, botany, and nature photography. For children and young people, the association collaborates with schools and offers educational workshops and summer camps designed to encourage curiosity about the natural world. It also provides resources such as a library, maps, and hiking information.
