About The Valley Breeze
The Valley Breeze Newspapers is a locally owned and award-winning brand that provides free weekly newspapers to the northern Rhode Island community. With a circulation that surpasses any other paper in the region, The Valley Breeze has become a trusted and integral part of the community. Founded in 1996, the paper initially served the towns of Cumberland and Lincoln with a press run of 10,000 copies.
It quickly gained popularity by focusing on positive stories and providing a platform for small hometown businesses to advertise. Over time, the paper expanded its coverage to include suburban North Smithfield, Woonsocket, and Blackstone. In 2004, an online edition was launched to further enhance readers' accessibility.
Today, The Valley Breeze distributes nearly 50,500 community newspapers each week across its five editions. With more than 350 local advertisers, it remains the go-to source for local news and shopping information. The brand employs a dedicated team of full-time and part-time employees who work tirelessly to deliver the newspaper to over 800 locations every Wednesday and Thursday morning.
As an active member of various Chambers of Commerce and newspaper associations, The Valley Breeze is committed to serving the community and providing high-quality journalism. Whether in print or online, The Valley Breeze continues to be a trusted source of news and information for the residents of northern Rhode Island
