Valorous Place

Valorous Place is an NDIS-registered provider based in Narre Warren, Victoria, supporting people with disability to build on their abilities and pursue personal goals. Guided by the values of strength, courage and bravery, the organisation encourages participants to develop independence, self-awareness and confidence while exploring new opportunities. Its priorities include daily living and life skills, employability, social and community participation, and health and wellbeing.

Services include support workers, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), health and wellbeing programs, and a coffee van. Valorous Place also offers activities that reflect participants’ interests and NDIS goals. Examples shared by participants include cooking, mechanics, woodwork, crafts, candle-making, gardening, travel training and making coffee. Work experience and opportunities to connect with others are also part of the learning experiences described.

The organisation recognises participants’ achievements, including through monthly certificates, and welcomes feedback and ideas from participants and families. Valorous Place presents its work as a collaborative way to help people develop skills, participate in their communities and shape their own paths.
