van Bakel en Opsteen

Van Bakel en Opsteen is a small business based in Gemert-Bakel, North Brabant, founded by Linda van Bakel. Its main activity is Equi-yoga, offering relaxed, enjoyable experiences with horses that focus on wellbeing rather than formal coaching, therapy or healing. Sessions combine gentle yoga and relaxation exercises beside a horse and, in some formats, on horseback. The approach aims to keep activities light for the horse while giving participants space to unwind and connect.

A Teddy-talk offers an introduction to horse yoga with Teddy, a 14-year-old gelding. This 90-minute session for one or two people includes basic yoga beside the horse, conversation about equine wellbeing, and no riding. Private group sessions and scheduled public Teddy-talks are also available. Equi-yoga sessions with Teddy on horseback are offered on weekdays, while sessions with a participant’s own, loaned or leased horse can be arranged on weekdays or weekends. The business also lists advice and brokerage in Ayurvedic food products as a secondary activity.
