Varenius

Bureau Varenius is a research and publishing bureau specializing in the geography and cultural history of the Netherlands, with much of its work focused on the country’s northern and eastern regions. Operating under the Varenius name since 1989, the bureau draws on more than three decades of experience in cultural-historical research. Its work includes books, source publications, and articles, several of which have received awards. Varenius also conducts academically grounded, policy-oriented research commissioned by public authorities.
