FNB Varsity Cup is a prestigious annual South African tournament featuring the country's top rugby-playing universities. As a grassroots organization, we are dedicated to keeping the spirit of sports alive and providing young athletes with opportunities to showcase their skills. Our tournament has a rich history, with past champions including FNB Maties, FNB UP-Tuks, and FNB UCT Ikeys.
The 2023 champions are the FNB NWU Eagles, who claimed their second title in a thrilling match. FNB Varsity Cup has been at the forefront of innovation in rugby, introducing rules like the White Card and the Nine-Point Try. We are committed to excellence both on and off the field, creating an exciting and competitive platform for university rugby in South Africa.
