Vateris is a carbon-utilisation company developing technology to turn industrial flue-gas CO₂ into high-performance materials. Its process is designed for industries such as cement, lime and chemicals, integrating with existing emissions sources to support decarbonisation without requiring changes to cement or concrete production processes. In Vateris’ reactors, captured CO₂ reacts with calcium from gypsum to produce vaterite-based calcium carbonate, while the remaining sulfate is used to make high-purity fertiliser. The company’s plug-in carbon capture and utilisation platform aims to make emissions reduction practical and economically viable at scale.

Vateris offers GypCarb, a carbon-negative calcium carbonate for concrete, intended to reduce cement content while maintaining performance, including early strength. Its Premium SOP is a high-grade sulfate fertiliser for agricultural applications. By mineralising CO₂ in these products, Vateris aims to help hard-to-abate industries lower emissions and costs while creating value from industrial by-products.
