Vattenrikets vänner

Vattenrikets vänner is an independent, nonprofit association dedicated to supporting the development and renewal of Biosphere Reserve Kristianstads Vattenrike and naturum Vattenriket, its nature visitor centre. The association works in consultation with Vattenriket’s leadership and alongside other associations, organisations and businesses to strengthen the area’s natural and community value.

Its activities include sharing information to increase public knowledge of the biosphere reserve and encourage greater involvement in its positive development. The association also raises funds for projects and contributes volunteer support at activities. It helps keep the Lillöhus castle ruin open to visitors and invites people to take part in guided nature experiences, workshops and other activities connected with the reserve.

People can support Vattenrikets vänner by becoming members, making donations, providing sponsorship or volunteering. Through these contributions, the association helps develop both the biosphere reserve and naturum Vattenriket, a place for nature guidance and learning where the city meets the natural environment.
