The Vintage Base Ball Association (VBBA) promotes and supports the playing and preservation of base ball as it was practiced in the sport’s formative years and other historic eras. The association connects enthusiasts and more than 200 vintage base ball clubs across the United States, helping people find a local team, join the game, or learn how to start a club. Its resources include historical accounts, rules and customs, terminology, tutorials, videos, newsletters, and information about ladies’ vintage base ball and the pioneers of the sport.

The VBBA also supports member clubs through membership services, contact information, and a New Member Club Grant Program. Members and visitors can explore association merchandise and vendor resources, and take part in events such as the annual conference, which features presentations and opportunities to connect with the vintage base ball community. Through its educational materials, club network, and activities, the VBBA helps keep historic playing traditions alive while encouraging broader participation in the game
