Được thành lập vào tháng 01/2018 với nguồn vốn khởi đầu từ Chính phủ Úc thông qua dự án "Investing in Women" ("Đầu tư cho sự phát triển phụ nữ") của Bộ Ngoại giao và Thương mại Úc, Mạng lưới doanh nghiệp Việt Nam hỗ trợ phát triển quyền năng phụ nữ (VBCWE) là một doanh nghiệp xã hội tiên phong và chuyên nghiệp. Trong giai đoạn khởi đầu và thiết lập (1/2018 - 6/2024), VBCWE đã nhận được sự hỗ trợ từ Chính phủ Úc. VBCWE cam kết kết nối, hỗ trợ và thúc đẩy xây dựng văn hóa đa dạng, bao trùm gắn với bình đẳng giới tại nơi làm việc – nền tảng quan trọng của sự phát triển bền vững cho các doanh nghiệp tại Việt Nam. Mạng lưới này bao gồm các doanh nghiệp có tầm ảnh hưởng và quy mô nhân sự lớn tại Việt Nam, cam kết đưa các giá trị bình đẳng, đa dạng và bao trùm vào chiến lược kinh doanh và phát triển của mình. Từ đó, VBCWE lan tỏa và truyền cảm hứng đến các doanh nghiệp khác trên cả nước cùng tham gia cam kết này.
