VC Houten

VC Houten is a community volleyball club in Houten with around 70 members. The association brings together competitive women’s and men’s teams and mixed recreational teams, combining a focus on good volleyball with an emphasis on enjoyment and participation. Its aim is to provide a suitable level of play where every team member can contribute, and it gives careful attention to forming teams.

The whole club trains on Monday, with several training groups and early and late sessions alternating as much as possible from season to season. VC Houten arranges its training largely with its own members; those interested in becoming trainers can pursue a coaching course through NEVOBO, the Dutch volleyball association. The club keeps contributions aligned with its costs and reviews them annually.

People interested in joining can sign up for a trial training. VC Houten is also looking to grow its competitive and recreational teams, including working towards a third team for women, men and recreational players.
