VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter is an association dedicated to Germany’s distinguished wine estates and the promotion of exceptional-quality wines. Its VDP.Adler mark, displayed on member wineries’ bottles, identifies wines associated with the organisation’s quality standards. The association presents Germany’s wine regions, including the Ahr, Baden, Franconia, Mosel, Nahe, Palatinate, Rheingau, Rheinhessen, Saxony and Württemberg, and provides information about member estates and regional associations.
VDP shares its quality philosophy through a classification system that includes VDP.Grosse Lage, VDP.Erste Lage, VDP.Ortswein and VDP.Gutswein, as well as standards for sparkling wine. Its website offers wine and winery information, editorial features, event listings, auction history, awards and resources on German wine culture. Visitors can also explore vineyard information through Weinberg.Online and access a shop and guest portal. The organisation supports wine enthusiasts, producers and industry partners through events such as the VDP.Weinbörse and previews of VDP.GROSSES GEWÄCHS wines, alongside educational content and updates on wine policy.
