Vecado

Vecado is a Canadian retailer specializing in plant-based food and supplies for dogs and cats. Guided by the belief that pets can be nourished without harming other animals, the brand brings together vegan options from Evolution Diet, Ami, Benevo, VegePet, Green Dog and Plantz. Its range includes dry kibble for dogs, cats and puppies; canned and other moist foods; meal toppers; treats; and supplements for needs such as digestion, urinary health and homemade meals. Customers can also find sample packs, transition supplies, recipes and practical resources about vegan nutrition for pets.

Vecado emphasizes science-informed nutrition: it says its recipes are reviewed by veterinary nutritionists to meet or exceed AAFCO and FEDIAF pet food standards, and highlights nutrients including taurine, L-carnitine, omega-3s, DHA and vitamin B12. Product choices include non-GMO and organic options. The retailer serves customers across Canada and the United States, offering shipping to customers’ doors and subscription options on selected products.
