Vectis Toy Auctions is a leading specialist toy auctioneer that has been in operation since 1988. Founded by Roger and Jill Mazillius on the Isle of Wight, the company has grown significantly over the years. Starting with a small shop front and back room, Vectis now boasts a spacious auction site of 30,000 square feet and employs a staff of 39 dedicated professionals.
Under the ownership of Bryan Goodall since 1996, Vectis has experienced remarkable growth. With a turnover of £600,000 from eight auctions annually, the company now holds over seventy auctions each year, selling approximately 47,000 lots and generating a turnover of 7 million pounds in 2021. Vectis specializes in auctioning a wide variety of toys across multiple categories.
These include Diecast, Trains, Doll and Teddy Bears, Lead, Plastic, Militaria, Tinplate, TV Related, Star Wars, and General Toys such as Games, Constructional Toys, Railwayana, Books, Comics, and Annuals. To ensure transparency and convenience for bidders, Vectis provides a comprehensive online listing for each auction, complete with full item descriptions, manufacturer details, condition, and estimated values based on previous auction results. The auctions can be accessed and bid on via the website, and the company also accepts bids through post or telephone.
Over the years, Vectis has adapted to the digital era by transitioning its auctions to an online platform. Currently, the company holds six auctions per month, featuring around 700 lots per day, all accessible to a global clientele. Despite the changes, Vectis remains committed to providing a professional, reliable, and friendly service to both seasoned collectors and individuals with a single toy to sell.
If you're passionate about toys or looking to add to your collection, Vectis Toy Auctions is the perfect place to explore and bid on a vast selection of collectible items.
