About Veeraswamy London
Veeraswamy is a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant on Regent Street in London, recognised as the city’s oldest surviving Indian restaurant. Opened in 1926, it has become a landmark for Indian fine dining, combining a long-standing heritage with contemporary hospitality. Its first-floor setting overlooks Regent Street and includes several distinctive dining rooms: the ornate Regency Room, the light-filled Verandah Room and the colourful Paisley Room, which evokes the restaurant’s 1920s origins.
The menu draws inspiration from the royal cuisines of India, particularly the Hyderabadi and Mughal traditions associated with Veeraswamy’s early history. Dishes range from slow-cooked specialities such as Kashmiri rogan josh and lamb wrapped in golden pastry to grilled seafood, biryanis and curries. Lunch and weekend brunch menus feature lighter options. A carefully selected wine list is designed to complement the spices and character of the food, alongside Indian-inspired cocktails.
Veeraswamy also offers private dining and seasonal menu experiences, including a centenary nostalgia menu. Guests can book tables online for lunch or dinner in its elegant Regent Street surroundings.
