Vegánske hody is the largest food festival in Slovakia dedicated to plant-based cuisine, promoting sustainable and animal-friendly eating since its inception in 2009. Each year, the festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors, celebrating exotic specialties, traditional Slovak dishes, street food, and decadent desserts, all free from animal suffering and with a minimal carbon footprint. The event not only showcases a diverse culinary landscape but also features a vegan market offering cruelty-free cosmetics and sustainable fashion.
Attendees can engage in a full-day program comprising lectures, discussions, cooking shows, and live music, immersing themselves in the culture and benefits of plant-based living. After a three-year pandemic hiatus, Vegánske hody returned in 2022 and reaffirms its commitment to fostering vegan gastronomy in Slovakia. The next events are scheduled for May 18 and September 28, 2025, in Stará Tržnica, Bratislava.
