VEHK

Vestfold Elghundklubb (VEHK) is a regional Norwegian club for moosehounds and related hunting breeds, founded on 27 January 1969. Today, it has approximately 180 members from across Vestfold and operates under the Norwegian Elkhound Association’s national federation, which is affiliated with the Norwegian Kennel Club.

The club represents nine breeds, including Norwegian Elkhounds (grey and black), Jämthund, several Laika breeds, Hälleforshund, Karelian Bear Dog and Swedish White Elkhound. Its activities support dog owners, hunters and breed enthusiasts through blood-tracking and tracking courses, dog shows and off-leash hunting trials. The club also holds selection trials for choosing competitors for the national off-leash hunting championship.

VEHK shares information about club news, trial results, exhibitions and events, and provides resources about its organization and history. Members receive the magazines Elghunden and Hundesport, available in print and digital editions. The club welcomes new members, who can join through the Norwegian Kennel Club by selecting Vestfold Elghundklubb as their breed club.
