Vélocité Avranches

Vélocité Avranches is a local cycling association promoting bicycle use in Avranches and the surrounding Mont-Saint-Michel Bay area. It works to make cycling more accessible, practical and enjoyable, bringing together residents, cyclists and partner organizations around active mobility.

The association runs the Maison du Vélo, a participatory bicycle workshop where members can work together to maintain or repair their bikes. The workshop also offers refurbished and second-hand bicycles for sale, along with bikes for renovation or parts, as well as components and accessories. Vélocité organizes a range of activities, including a cycling school, bicycle fairs, group rides, heritage and birdwatching outings, and cycling-themed talks and events.

Advocacy is another part of its work. The association shares proposals for safer cycling routes and parking in Avranches and nearby Brécey, and supports better bicycle access to Mont-Saint-Michel.
