Vélo Club Saint-Hyacinthe is a nonprofit organization founded in 1983 to bring people together for recreational road cycling in the Saint-Hyacinthe region and, through special outings, elsewhere in Quebec. With nearly 200 members, the club welcomes cyclists of different ages and abilities, emphasizing enjoyment, good company, and riding for health. It also promotes safe group-cycling practices and helps members learn the basics of bicycle care and handling.

From late April through October, the club organizes weekly rides: a relaxed “Pedals Easy” outing on Wednesday evenings and a Saturday morning ride. Routes start in the Maskoutain region and typically range from about 20 to 100 kilometres, depending on the route and the stage of the season. On long weekends around Canada Day and Labour Day, the club also offers “Discovery” trips to more distant regions. These outings include accommodation and meals, with route options and difficulty levels considered to make the experience accessible to participants. Membership, a ride calendar, club publications, and a shop are available through the club.
