VeloPigs

VeloPigs is a Northern Virginia cycling community and beer-and-bicycle social club founded in 2017. With more than 2,800 members, it brings together riders from across the Mid-Atlantic and New England, with a particular focus on the region’s gravel roads. The club welcomes people across cycling disciplines and promotes the recreational, athletic, health, and social benefits of bicycling, emphasizing safe participation, inclusion, and camaraderie.

VeloPigs organizes group rides and provides a ride calendar, information about routes, ride videos, FAQs, and a liability release form for participants. Members can also take part in its racing division, connect through Strava, and join community events, including the annual Pig Nic and OINK at the Moon. The club shares cycling news and practical articles on topics such as gravel riding and bike setup, and highlights opportunities for community service. Many rides start at Plum Grove Cyclery in Leesburg, Virginia. Through its rides, events, and community activities, VeloPigs offers cyclists a welcoming way to explore local roads, build connections, and enjoy time on and off the bike.
