Players can find skill-matched leagues, connect with nearby opponents where available, and arrange matches around their own schedules. The platform offers singles, doubles, and mixed play, with four formats: Flex, Round Robin, Box, and Challenge Ladder. Seasons typically involve five to seven matches over six to eight weeks, with leading players advancing to playoffs.

Participants can coordinate match times, report scores, follow live standings, and track ratings, results, and ranking history through their profiles. Match cards make results and rating changes easy to share, while a defined process helps handle score disputes. VENLAX also offers player referrals, with both participants receiving $5 in league credit after a referred friend plays a first match.
