The Verboort Sausage & Kraut Festival is an annual community celebration held at Visitation Catholic Church in Forest Grove, Oregon. Now in its 92nd year, the festival takes place on November 7, 2026, continuing a tradition of bringing neighbors and visitors together for food, family activities, and local shopping. Festival admission is free, with guests able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat sausage and sauerkraut dinner in the dining hall or purchase a single meal to go by drive-through or walk-up.
Both dinners include traditional sides and a choice of pie. Visitors can also buy smoked Verboort sausage and homemade sauerkraut in bulk, while supplies last. The volunteer-run marketplace, also known as the Bazaar, offers handmade crafts, quilts, décor, plants, vintage jewelry, baked goods, candy, jams, and more.
Other offerings include family bingo, children’s activities, festival merchandise, and a 21-and-over beer garden serving drinks and food. The festival also shares community recipes, event information, and memories from past celebrations
