The Nederlandse Vereniging Langhaar (NVL) is a Dutch breed association for enthusiasts, breeders and hunters of the German Longhaired Pointer, known in Dutch as the Duitse Staande Langhaar. Founded in 1919 by hunters, handlers and breeders, the association is committed to preserving the breed through purebred breeding guided by performance. It supports members with information and expertise on the breed, including its standard, appearance and coat care, as well as responsible breeding and health topics.

The NVL also promotes participation in hunting activities, fieldwork and competitions, and shares upcoming events through its agenda. Members can receive guidance from the association and its breeding support committee, take part in organised activities, and access the quarterly club magazine, Langhaar op Post. Membership offers discounts on some association events and, when breeding, at the Raad van Beheer.

The NVL publishes club news, answers frequently asked questions and provides resources to help owners navigate training, shows and working tests
