Laboratorio Vergombello is a family-run goldsmith’s workshop in Venice, carrying on the city’s traditional jewelry-making craft since 1932. Now represented by Guido, Roberto, and Marta Vergombello, the business has preserved this lagoon heritage across three generations while combining traditional skills with modern technologies. Its artisans create unique, made-to-measure pieces shaped around each customer’s taste and requests, with careful attention to detail.
The workshop is especially known for its moretti: distinctive ebony figures carved by hand and adorned with gold and diamonds. Each is individually created, and some moretti and rings conceal small surprises revealed by discreet, ingenious mechanisms. The collection also features fine jewelry incorporating diamonds, pearls, and gold embroidery.
